京都 琴（箏）だより（お琴体験 アメリカより学生さん達）

 昨日はMBAを取得中のアメリカからの5人の学生さん達。「今朝、福岡より、京都は１日だけ、明日はもう東京です。１週間の日本滞在なので・・もう少し京都に滞在したい」と先生。「日本語を話されますか・」と尋ねると「全然」と日本語で言われましたがかなり理解されている印象です。限られた時間の中にも皆さん頑張り合奏をし、楽しんで下さいました。これからもお勉強、頑張って下さい！I got the unique experience of learning the Koto from Harumi Shimazaki in Kyoto. I had no musical background and she made it so easy to pick up an instrument. By the end of the 2 hour session, I was able to play the Sakura song! Harumi Shimazaki was a very patient teacher who peppered the lesson with explanations of Koto's cultural significance and Kyoto culture in general. I learned so much in just a short period and I feel like I got such a unique experience. I highly recommend this class for anyone who's looking for something off the beaten path in Kyoto.
