I've always wanted to try koto and I finally found a place where I could do that. The owner, Harumi, is very kind and patient. We had so much fun playing together! She welcomed me with a brief chat about koto origins and then she started explaining to me how to play it. We managed to cover 3 pieces and it was REALLY amazing! I'm so grateful to her for sharing her "gift" with me. In the end, she offered me tea and biscuits. I'm so glad that I could spend my last evening in Japan learning how to play koto with such a talented player! I'm looking forward to go back there in the future!
